The Les Brown Big Band Dance is on the first day of the Les Brown Big Band Festival at the Tower City American Legion. This three hour dance (7:00 pm. to 10:00 pm) features the swing music of various big bands performed by the M & J Big Band of Pottsville. Admission price of $10.00 includes snacks. Food and beverages are available for purchase.
On Saturday, April 14, the Les Brown Big Band Festival runs 12:00-4:00 pm at the Williams Valley High School, Route 209, Tower City, PA. The festival is four hours of non-stop big band music performed by central PA big bands and salutes the years Les’ band was the house band for the Dean Martin Show. Dean Martin impersonator Andy DiMino of Las Vegas will host the festival. Special guest artists will be Jack Redmond and Hal Espinosa, both former members of the Band of Renown.
Featured performers include After Hours Big Band, vocal trio Americas Sweethearts of NYC, and several area school big bands. There is a food court located at the festival. General admission is $10.00, elementary through college students are free.
Sunday, April 14, a Celebration in Music will end the weekend. This non-denominational service starts at 3:00 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Tower City. Special music will be performed by Heart & Soul of Harrisburg. The service is open to the public. A free will offering will be taken.

We educate the children of the Williams Valley School District about the music and accomplishments of the Browns through the annual Les Brown Trivia Contest every March.
