Schuylkill Leadership is an annual program sponsored by the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce to seek out capable men and women in the community and introduce them to the breadth of vital issues affecting Schuylkill County. Each class works together to shape a new generation of leaders for Schuylkill County.

The 2011 Schuylkill Leadership Class is comprised of people from a variety of businesses, including banking, education, industry, non-profit organizations, engineering, communications, retail distribution, insurance, travel, and county government. Some of our members are natives of Schuylkill County while others are fairly new to the area. All of us will leave the Leadership program with a greater appreciation for the County in which we live.

Each class selects a unique project to make its mark on both the County and the Leadership program. The 2011 Schuylkill Leadership Class would like to celebrate Schuylkill County’s Bicentennial Year by offering an online directory of information on the hiking, walking, and water trails throughout the County. Our class members visited these locations to gather the information and photographs on the linked pages.

In the process of completing our project, we gained an appreciation for the natural beauty and rich history of our County, and we hope you enjoy visiting some of these trails as well.
